Fonderie Palmieri is ISO 45001:2023 certified by Kiwa Cermet Italia — the international standard for occupational health and safety management.
The certification guarantees:

Safety starts with plant design. Every technological investment at Palmieri is guided by one priority objective: eliminating or minimising our operators’ exposure to risk.

Our concrete actions:
• Automation and Collaborative Robotics: integration of cobots and manipulator robots in the most demanding areas (such as deburring and knockout), eliminating high-risk manual operations and ensuring maximum precision.
• Air Quality and Microclimate: dedicated filtration and extraction systems at every critical point for the prompt neutralisation of dust and emissions.
• Smart Monitoring: sensor-equipped induction furnaces for continuous monitoring of operating variables, ensuring thermal stability and maximum process safety.

Safety is a value built day by day through awareness and
continuous learning. Since 2013 we have progressively increased the hours of
training provided, convinced that protecting our workers necessarily involves their
professional growth.

Our commitment goes well beyond regulatory compliance: mandatory courses account for only
50% of our total training hours. We invest the remaining half in specialisation
programmes that raise operating standards and the environmental awareness of our
people.

Health Surveillance: Beyond Compliance

Health protection at Fonderie Palmieri does not follow standard logic, but constantly adapts to the evolution of our production processes. Health monitoring is designed as a living system, able to evolve to guarantee maximum protection for every employee.

Adaptive Protocols: Our Occupational Physician is not bound to fixed deadlines, but updates the health protocol in real time based on actual operational needs, the introduction of new technologies and constant feedback from the field.

On-Site Presence: To ensure comfort and continuity, we have chosen to carry out all check-ups directly at our facilities, turning an obligation into a convenient service for the worker.

Shared Trend Analysis: The data from monitoring is analysed rigorously and transparently during the Annual Periodic Meeting. This discussion, which fully involves the Workers’ Safety Representatives (RLS), is essential to validate our prevention strategies and guide future investment in organisational wellbeing.
