Silicon-Molybdenum spheroidal graphite iron (SiMo)

Silicon-Molybdenum spheroidal graphite irons are alloys developed for high-temperature applications: silicon (up to about 5%) ensures oxidation resistance, while molybdenum (about 1%) stabilizes mechanical properties up to 700–730°C.
They are the reference material for exhaust manifolds in the automotive and marine sectors, where severe thermal cycles and mechanical stresses require reliable long-term behavior.
